Meet the Team
So, after a few pints in the pub one night, Mark and Paul formulated a plan to bring the same group together and use our business skills to develop a project that would have both tangible and intrinsic rewards. And so Floak was born.

Paul Hill Paul, an IT Director for TUI Travel PLC, lives in Fulham and is an active fundraiser for Global Action Nepal (GAN), a charity that assists community and education projects in Nepal. In April 2009, Paul will be leading 16 budding climbers on a three-week expedition to the Nepalese region of the Everest Himalaya, commencing with a trek to Base Camp followed by Island Peak and several other 6,000m summits. A keen footballer, Paul is famed for many things, such as resembling a former Middle East dictator and missing a penalty in the recent Floak inspection trip football match. Had he slotted the kick we would have returned home with the keys to the village and a dozen goats slung over our shoulders. He is currently attending Bobby Charlton's Soccer School to work on his place kicking skills ahead of February 2010's Floak adventure to Kafountine. Comment: |

Mark Gardner Mark Gardner is the managing director of Teamlink Travel and based in Derby. Over the years he has raised over £10,000 for charities such as Cancer Research, Whizz-Kidz and Scope through marathon running and went one better in April 2009. 7 marathons in 7 days was the target, commencing in St. Louis, Missouri and moving on to Boston before crossing the Atlantic to run 5 consecutive marathons on UK soil. Together with running partner, Jarlath O'Hara, their adventure concluded at the prestigious London Marathon where they completed the race (semi)naked to raise awareness and funds for testicular cancer through the Everyman charity! "Floak is innovative, challenging, fun and everything you need to stimulate yourself if you're looking for something to motivate you over the next 12 months; Please give generously, albeit through your time or a donation, as the projects need YOUR support and enthusiasm" |
